Warranty Information

EXTENT OF WARRANTY

This Limited Warranty applies to spa products Distributed by Houston Spas, and sold and installed by authorised dealers. This Limited Warranty applies to the original consumer/user purchaser and original location and terminates upon any transfer of ownership or move of the spa by an unauthorised representative of Houston Spas. This Limited Warranty does not provide coverage for any item or accessory attached to, or installed on the Spa after the date of importation (including water sanitizing systems and cover removal systems, which may be covered under other warranties). The spa is designed and intended solely for residential installation and use. Therefore commercial (non-residential) installations are herein excluded from all warranty coverage.

WARRANTY PERFORMANCE

In the event of a defect covered under the terms of this Limited Warranty, notify your authorised Houston Spas Dealer. Use all reasonable means to protect the Spa from further damage. A Houston Spas Dealer will repair the unit subject to the terms and conditions contained in this Limited Warranty. All Spa units must be completely accessible for service, so that all side panels can be removed by the service technician without obstruction. Houston Spas reserves its right to repair or replace any portion of the unit or the complete unit. Houston Spas in its’ sole discretion may replace a Spa with one of equal value to the original purchaser. In such event, reasonable costs for removal of the defective Spa, plus delivery, any crane if required and installation of the replacement unit will be the sole responsibility of the owner.

EXCLUSIONS

This Limited Warranty is void if the Spa has been subjected to unprotected freeze conditions or flooding or if it incurs damage caused by improper water chemistry or water maintenance. This Limited Warranty is void if the Spa has be subjected to alterations, neglect, misuse or abuse; if the spa has not been sited on the correct type of concrete base, decking or patio and has shell issues due to the base being unlevel or insufficient stability. If any repairs have been attempted by anyone other than a Houston Spas authorised representative; or if failure is caused by accident, acts of God, or other causes beyond the control of Houston Spas. Damage can be caused by exposing the Spa Shell to Direct sunlight for extended periods of time. Temperatures generated by sunlight or UV may become concentrated on the Spa shell surface causing the surface material to crack, delaminate or discolour. The Spa cover must be kept on the spa while void of water or any time it is not being used. Alterations include plumbing changes, electrical conversions, or additions of alternate sanitation systems (other than approved Ozone generators) or heating systems which contribute to component or unit failure. Neglect, misuse, and abuse includes any installation, operation or maintenance of the Spa other than that outlined in the Owner’s Manual or use for the spa is not designed, including air controls and water diverters, cover clips and cover straps. Including, but not limited to damage caused by operation of the unit a water temperature outside the range of 1 degrees C to 40 degrees C. Damage caused by dirty, clogged, or calcified filter cartridges, damage to the spa surface caused by improper use of chemicals, damages caused by unapproved sanitisers such as calcium hypochlorite, sodium hypochlorite, “tri-chlor” type chlorine or sanitising chemical that remain undisclosed on the spa surface. Houston Spas shall not be liable for loss of use of the spa or other incidental or consequential costs, expenses, or damages, including but not limited to the removal of any deck or custom fixture.

Fading, discoloration, yellowing, scratches and or gouges can occur with normal use and are not considered warrantable defects if reported after the date of installation. Micro-crazing on the spa shell surface is the result of over exposure to direct sunlight when the cover is not properly installed and is not covered by this warranty.

OWNERS RESPONSIBILITIES

The spa must be accessible for service. Warranty may not apply if:

1. Purchaser has enclosed spa within a deck, benches or other obstacles.

2. Recessed spa in ground or concrete decks or other obstacles which prevent access for service. Dealer shall require owner to remedy situation or may charge for work required to obtain access or re call due to this situation. Consult with the Dealer or manufacturer before engaging in any special conditions.

3. Owner is responsible for following standard maintenance which includes balance and sanitizing water, cleaning jet internals, and properly handling spa cover.

We recommend, in the interest of compliance with your warranty and maximum longevity of life for your product – that your spa is serviced by a Houston Spas Representative and water health checked on an annual basis. Please contact your local dealer for further information.

DISCLAIMER

Houston Spas shall not be liable for loss of use of the spa or other incidental or consequential costs, expenses, or damages, including but not limited to the removal of any deck or custom fixture.

LEGAL RIGHTS

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights and is not applicable if it interferes with any law or regulation in any county or country.

Limited Warranty

5 Year – Limited Frame Warranty

Houston Spas warrants the frame Structural Support System against perforation due to splitting, collapse, and other structural failure under “normal use” guidelines. *

2) 5 Year – Limited Vessel Structure Warranty

Houston Spas warrants the fibreglass vessel structure against water loss due to defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years. *

3) 3 Year – Limited Surface Warranty

Houston Spas Warrants the interior surface of the spa against blisters, cracks, or delaminating due to defects in the material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years. *

4) 3 Year – Limited Equipment, Plumbing Warranty

Houston Spas warrants the Spa against water leakage from Jets, air controls, plumbing fittings, and the equipment (including Pumps, Control Systems & Heater) to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year at 100% and 2 years at 50%. *

Excludes broken glass on the touch screen control system. *

5) 1 Year – Limited Jet Insert Warranty

Houston Spas warrants the jet inserts to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year. *

6) 2 Years – Limited Cabinet Warranty

Houston Spas warrants the cabinet not to crack, peel, splinter, fade, warp or delaminate and to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years.

7) 90 Days – Limited Cover Warranty

Houston Spas warrants the spa cover to be free from defects in materials or workmanship not determined to be regular fading or wear for ninety days (90). *

8) 1 Year – Limited Lighting System Warranty

Houston Spas warrants the lighting system to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year. *

9) 1 Year – Limited Wifi, Ozone, Audio System Warranty

Houston Spas Warrants the Wifi Module and Ozonator to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year. Audio Components: Bluetooth receiver, sub-woofer, power supply and speakers to be free from defects in material and workmanship fo a period of one (1) year. *

10) 30 Days – Limited Headrest, Skimmer Lid & Diverter Valve Warranty

Houston Spas warrants the headrest, skimmer lids, topside overlay and diverter valves to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of thirty (30) days. *

11) Time of Delivery

Houston Spas warrants fuses and filter cartridges to be free of defects in material and workmanship at the time of delivery to the original consumer purchaser.

* From the date of original consumer installation or one (1) year after the manufacturing date, whichever occurs first.

Limited Warranty Coverage

10 year non pro rata structural warranty

Forest Spas warrants the structure of the spa shell against defects in workmanship and materials leading to water loss from the spa for a period of 10 years from date of manufacture subject to the limitations and conditions expressed in this warranty.​

5 year acrylic warranty

Forest Spas warrants against the loss of water through the acrylic surface of the spa shell for a period of 5 years from date of manufacture. Note: Leaving your spa uncovered when not in use will void this portion of your warranty.

5 year pump, heater, controller and plumbing warranty

Labour on repair of the above equipment/plumbing is warranted from date of purchase of the spa, as follows:

Year 1: No hourly labour charge will be incurred by the original purchaser.

Year 2: No hourly labour charge will be incurred by the original purchaser.

Year 3: No hourly labour charge will be incurred by the original purchaser.

Year 4: Original purchaser pays 50% of the service representative's normal hourly labour charge.

Year 5: Original purchaser pays 50% of the service representative's normal hourly labour charge.​

5 year limited labour warranty:

All factory installed electrical equipment and plumbing components - specifically the pump(s), heater, control system, leaks from jet fittings, filter assembly, internal plumbing, internal glue joints and hoses are warranted from date of installation of the spa, as follows:

Year 1: 100% replacement of components to the original purchaser.

Year 2: 100% replacement of components to the original purchaser.

Year 3: Original purchaser pays 50% of replacement cost of components.

Year 4: Original purchaser pays 50% of replacement cost of components.

Year 5: Original purchaser pays 75% of replacement cost of components.​

Note: This warranty does not cover damage to heaters caused by incorrect water balance resulting in the heater being subjected to abrasive/acid water. Note: Damage to the pump motor caused incorrect chemical balance will not be covered under this warranty. Vortex spas reserves the right to request that the pump be returned for assessment before it is replaced under this warranty.​

5 year jet warranty

Forest Spas warrant the removable spa jets to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of 5 years from date of installation. This warranty excludes damage by grit, sand and improper water chemistry causing corrosion of the part and is limited to supply of replacement parts after the faulty part has been returned to Forest Spas for warranty inspection. Leaking from jets is covered by the plumbing warranty. Laminar jets have a 1 year parts only warranty.

Dirty or clogged Laminar Jets are not covered under warranty.

5 year thermoclad cabinet warranty

Forest Spas warrant the thermoclad spa cabinet against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 years from date of installation. This warranty specifically covers the structural integrity of the cabinet. The thermoclad spa cabinet finish is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of initial delivery. Fading and weathering of the surface will occur naturally over time, and are not considered defects. ​

1 year Wifi, audio system, ozone, UV, LED light(s) warranty

Forest Spas warrants the factory installed Wifi, audio system, UV sanitiser, Ozone sanitiser and LED Light(s) assemblies, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year.

1 year spa hardcover warranty

Your spa cover is warranted for a period of 1 Year from the date of delivery. This warranty applies only to the structural integrity of the cover and the vinyl. Damage caused to stitching, straps or locks due to improper use of the cover will not be covered under warranty. Disposal of any cover replaced under warranty will be the owners responsibility

Electrical connection

All electrical connections must be carried out by a qualified electrical contractor. Failure to do so will immediately VOID this warranty. The spa must be connected to a dedicated MAINS electrical supply circuit protected by a compliant earth leakage circuit breaker safety switch.Forest Spas reserves the right to ask for proof that the spa has been installed by a qualified electrician.

Warranty exclusions

• Damage resulting from improper water maintenance or chemical dispenser.

• Damage from operating the spa above 113°F.

• Damaged caused by clogged filters.

• Damage caused to spa surface by improper use of spa cover and excessive exposure to sunlight.  

• Damage caused by not installing spa on sufficient hard level surface.

• Damage caused by incorrect electrical installation, brownouts, voltage spikes or operating spa out of +/- 10% of voltage range.

• Warranty is not extended to filter cartridges, Spa pillows (headrests), pump seals or drain hoses.

• Damage caused by relocation of the spa from its original installed location.

• The spa cover is warranted to be free of defects at time of delivery.

• Damage by insects or vermin including termites and ants.

• Damage caused by flooding.

• Damage caused by third party carriers.

• Damage to frame caused by unrepaired leakage.

Limited Warranty Coverage

Forest Spas warrants the structure of the spa shell against defects in workmanship and materials leading to water loss from the spa for a period of 10 years from date of manufacture subject to the limitations and conditions expressed in this warranty.

Forest Spas warrants the structure of skirting surrounding the spa for five years from defects in the material and workmanship.Appearance of material is warranted for one (1) year.

​1 year Wifi, audio system, ozone, UV, LED light(s) warranty

Forest Spas warrants audio equipment for one (1) year from the date of install. This includes speakers, power supply,
subwoofer, docking stations, LED lights, ozonator, In-line Frog Sanitation system and waterfall. Forest Spas are NOT responsible for radio/WIFI reception caused by location, terrain, or other non-component problems, this also includes drain plugs and skimmer housings.

1 year spa hardcover warranty

Your spa cover is warranted for a period of 1 Year from the date of delivery. This warranty applies only to the structural integrity of the cover and the vinyl. Damage caused to stitching, straps or locks due to improper use of the cover will not be covered under warranty. Disposal of any cover replaced under warranty will be the owners responsibility

1 year pump, heater, controller and plumbing warranty

Limited Warranty Coverage

Alps hot tubs shell warranty.

ALPS SPAS are warranted against defects in the spa shell due to defects in workmanship and/or materials for Lifetime from the original date of sale.  

5 year acrylic warranty

ALPS SPAS are warranted against blistering, cracking, or delaminating of the interior surface of the spa due to defects in workmanship and/or materials for five years from the original date of sale.​

2 year pump, heater, controller and plumbing warranty

ALPS SPAS electrical equipment components (pumps, heater, and control system) are warranted against malfunction due to defects in workmanship and/or materials for 2 years and 2 years labour.​

2 year limited labour warranty:

All factory installed electrical equipment and plumbing components - specifically the pump(s), heater, control system, leaks from jet fittings, filter assembly, internal plumbing, internal glue joints and hoses are warranted from date of installation of the spa, as follows:

Year 1: 100% replacement of components to the original purchaser.

Year 2: 100% replacement of components to the original purchaser.​

Note: This warranty does not cover damage to heaters caused by incorrect water balance resulting in the heater being subjected to abrasive/acid water. 2 year jet warranty

ALPS SPAS plumbing components are warranted against water loss due to defects in workmanship and/or materials for five years from the original date of sale with two year labour.​

3 year cabinet warranty

Forest Spas warrant the spa cabinet against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 3 years from date of installation. This warranty specifically covers the structural integrity of the cabinet. The spa cabinet finish is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of initial delivery. Fading and weathering of the surface will occur naturally over time, and are not considered defects. ​
